Please read this before enrolling. “What's In Me?” is an educational and personal-development course. It does not diagnose, assess, treat, cure or prevent any disease, disorder or condition, whether physical or mental.
1. Not medical or psychological care
Nothing on this website or in the course is medical advice, psychological advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment plan. Dr. Sarvajna Krishna is a Swara Yoga teacher and holistic educator. He is not a physician, psychiatrist, psychologist or licensed therapist, and his doctorate is not a medical qualification.
2. About the five-layer assessment
The five-layer (pancha kosha) assessment offered in the Sovereign tier is an educational self-awareness tool based on a classical Indian framework. It is not a medical or psychological diagnostic instrument. It does not detect, screen for, measure or rule out any illness, and its results should never be used in place of examination or testing by a qualified clinician.
3. Continue your existing care
If you are under the care of a doctor, psychiatrist, psychologist or therapist, please continue it. Never stop, reduce or change a prescribed medication or treatment because of anything taught in this course. Discuss any change with your treating professional.
4. Before you begin the breathing practices
The course teaches breathing techniques from Swara Yoga. Please consult your doctor before beginning them if you are pregnant, or if you have or have had: a heart condition, high or low blood pressure, asthma or another respiratory condition, epilepsy or a seizure disorder, glaucoma or raised intraocular pressure, a recent surgery, or any condition affected by breath-holding. If at any point you feel dizzy, faint, short of breath or unwell, stop, breathe normally, and seek medical advice.
5. Emotional material
Reflective practice can bring up difficult feelings and memories. If you have a history of trauma, or are currently receiving mental-health care, please take up this course alongside your professional support, not instead of it, and tell your therapist that you are doing so.
If you are in distress or thinking about harming yourself, please reach out for help now. In India, Tele-MANAS is free and available around the clock on 14416 or 1-800-891-4416. If you are outside India, please contact your local emergency number or crisis line. If someone's life is in immediate danger, call your local emergency services.
6. No guaranteed outcome
We describe what the course teaches. We make no promise about what any individual will experience. Accounts shared by students describe their own experience of practising and are not typical results.
7. Your responsibility
You take up this practice at your own discretion. By enrolling you confirm that you have read this disclaimer and that you will seek qualified professional care for any medical or mental-health concern.
